Conference League draw, Egnatia learns 6 rivals

The draw for the league phase for the new 2026-27 Conference League season was held in Monaco this Friday at 1:40 PM. For the first time, Albanian champions Egnatia are also participating in this tournament.

The club from Rrogozhina has learned the six rivals. At home, Egnatia will play against the Danes of Midtjylland, the Gibraltar team of Lincoln Red Imps and the Lithuanians of Kauno Zalgiris. On the road, Egnatia will face the Portuguese of Braga, the Romanians of Universitatea Craiova and the Danes of Aarhus.

For the third year in a row, the Conference League will compete in the league stage with a new format, 36 teams and an overall ranking. Each of the 36 teams will play 6 matches against different opponents, 3 home and 3 away. Teams from the same country cannot face each other directly in this stage and each club can face a maximum of two opponents from the same national association.

The top eight teams in the standings will qualify directly for the round of 16, while teams ranked 9th to 24th will play in a play-off for a place in the knockout stage. Teams ranked 25th to 36th are eliminated from the competition.

The Conference League phase will begin on October 15, 2026, while the final will be played on June 2, 2027 at Besiktas Stadium in Istanbul.
