The Champions League draw that took place this Thursday in Monaco promised a spectacle with many super challenges to be played in the league stage.
There was no shortage of battles or what are called premature finals. Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain will have Manchester City, Barcelona or Roma among their opponents.
A difficult draw for City, who will also face Barcelona. A challenge that will soon bring to the fore a special meeting with Rodri, now with the Catalans.
Arsenal, last season's finalists, will challenge Real Madrid in another high-profile clash, while they will also travel to Munich to face Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid also has a strong journey ahead, with Arsenal and Inter among its opponents, while Barcelona will face Manchester City and PSG.
A difficult journey for Inter as well, facing Liverpool, the transfer to Madrid against Real or the duel in Dortmund.
Bayern are confident they can do well. The Bavarians host Arsenal at the Allianz Arena and travel to Madrid to face Atletico, in the two delicate tests the Germans may have at this stage.

The league phase starts on September 8. The Champions League will be this season with a new format. There are no more classic groups, as the 36 teams are ranked in a single table. Each team will play 8 matches against 8 different opponents, four at home and four away.
According to the regulations, the top 8 teams will advance directly to the round of 16. Teams ranked 9th to 24th will play in a play-off for a ticket to the round of 16, while teams ranked 25th to 36th will be eliminated from European competitions.
