MP Marjana Koçeku has spoken again about her departure from the Socialist Party, saying that everyone, including MPs, the government and her family, found out about it from a post on social media.
Koçeku, invited to News24, said that after leaving, there were several phone calls from SP leaders, including Prime Minister Edi Rama. She said that she communicated with the latter a few days later, where he informed her that this was a final step and there would be no turning back.
As for the threat from Bajrat, she said that she made the threat public and gave her message.
"Everyone, including the government, parliament, and family, found out about it on social media because I didn't want to leave any trace of influence."
I have had many phone calls from the leaders of the Socialist Party and the Prime Minister. I later communicated to Rama that this was a final step and there would be no going back.
There have been attempts, but this is my decision.
Recently, I have seen dissatisfaction among SP members, easily readable dissatisfaction, I hope they find the courage and do the function they are there for.
We are not eternal. I want to respect the privacy of those who have supported me.
"I have made my reaction to the threats public. I have had enough of that message and the message was based on solid grounds," she said.
