The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, reacted shortly before the announcement of the verdict against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army in The Hague.

Konjufca has described this moment as the conclusion of the trial against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selim and Jakup Krasniqi, while expressing the expectation for an acquittal.

"Today is the final day in this trial. Today, a decision, an acquittal for the four leaders of the KLA headquarters is expected. Our war was a necessary defensive war, it had only one goal, the goal of the freedom of our people and stopping the genocide of the Serbian paramilitary forces. Today is the final day in this trial. He also spoke about the KLA war, describing it as a defensive effort by the Kosovo Albanians.
