Ervis Martinaj

Journalist Eni Ferhati stated that referring to the 10-day investigation, there are doubts that Ervis Martinaj was physically eliminated.

"The police have been conducting intensive investigations for 10 days. Ervis Martinaj's uncle, Mr. Faik Martinaj, who filed a report in Kurbin on August 10, stating that indirectly his nephew had lost contact with certain people and something bad might have happened to him. The police have been put in motion", Ferhati told Euronews Albania.

The journalist underlined that the Police has been put in motion referring to the fact to which opponents Martinaj was exposed, since according to him he was involved in many criminal events that happened in recent years.

"This is also related to some recent events, where Ervis Martinaj's closest people, his soldiers and his uncle's son, Brilant Martinaj, have been eliminated," said Ferhati.

While journalist Poli Hoxha said that Ervis Martinaj's life was between business and the world of crime.

He told Euronews Albania that Ervis Martinaj, in addition to being involved in the world of crime, became the legal tycoon of lottery companies.

"After the slot machines were closed he became the biggest legitimate tycoon of the lotto betting companies. Only in the state he paid millions and millions of euros in taxes and it was a matter of a very large fortune", said the journalist.

He also showed details from the prosecution's investigations, where he stated that the main clue is his kidnapping and then his torture by his enemies.

"Ervis Martinaj was not afraid of the police or the prosecution. He was only afraid of his enemies, he took measures and they started to eliminate his closest collaborators", said the journalist.

He underlined that Martinaj was pursued more by his enemies than by the Police and the Prosecutor's Office.

"According to the investigations, there is no body either alive or dead. We still do not have a police report. The investigation is on several tracks. What can be said is that the "head" of Ervis Martinaj, more than the state and the Police, was guarded by his enemies. He is known for gambling," he said.
