The elderly man, who was hit by a car after he was riding a bicycle at noon today in Berat, died in the hospital.

Sources inform that the victim is citizen Agron Toska, 71 years old. The elderly man was urgently transported to Berat hospital in serious condition, where unfortunately he did not survive his injuries. 

He was hit by the Tuareg off-road vehicle, with license plate "AA661ZD" driven by Arlind Muçogllava, while cycling in front of him. After the collision, Toska ended up first on the hood of the vehicle and then under the wheels of the car. It took the intervention of the fire brigade to get the 71-year-old man out from under the car.

The driver of the vehicle, Arlind Muçogllava, was escorted to the Berat Police Station. The police are conducting investigative actions to discover the causes and dynamics of the accident
