Two serious videos have shocked the internet today.
In the first video, a police officer forcefully pushes a young man who had his hands in his pockets and was completely unaware that he was committing any violent act onto the asphalt.
The actions of the police officer and other colleagues, who after hitting the young man, risking and killing him, as he could have cracked his head on the ground, attacked him by hitting him with a rubber baton, raise serious questions not only about the professionalism of the officers, but also about respect for the most fundamental right of the citizen: physical integrity.
In the other video, a protester is being dragged away, shot in the knee, trying to break it.
The videos were so serious, even the Police Director and the Minister of Interior were forced to react and suspend the police officers.
They are, in fact, just two of the many cases of senseless and unnecessary police violence.
Because it is true that the Police have a duty to protect institutions and the state, even with violence, but not to attack protesters with their hands in their pockets, people passing by on the street, or worse yet, to then arrest people who have done nothing.
Not in vain, a day ago, the former director of the State Police, Gledis Nano, expressed shock at the police violence.
He rightly said that he sees a disorganized police officer.
Because that's how it's been going so far.
And this raises big questions about her ability and professionalism to handle such situations.
That there is no other explanation.
Only if they have another agenda and are intentionally behaving this way, as conspiracy theories allude to!
