Blendi Klosi commented on the student protests during an interview on the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin", stating that the government is ready for dialogue, but only if the protesters distance themselves from violence.
"We are very attentive to listening to their demands. We are ready, from the prime minister to the last member of the government cabinet. If they abandon violence, we will have space to have dialogue," said Klosi.
The Secretary General of the Socialist Party claimed that behind the incidents are also people who have no connection to the students, whom he described as "dark forces".
"In cases where dark forces, unrelated to students, intervene, the state will undoubtedly respond to maintain public peace," he declared.
Klosi also emphasized that the protest has not had an echo in the districts, while defending the actions of the State Police, claiming that the officers have never been the first to use violence.
"The police have never acted first. The police have been hit, they have been put under pressure. The violence has never been started by the security forces," concluded Klosi.
