They tried to smuggle weapons to Kosovo, 6 people were arrested, the operation
Seized weapons

Six people were arrested by the Police yesterday evening in an operation spread over the counties of Kukes, Durres and Dibra. They have tried to traffic firearms and war ammunition towards Kosovo.

As part of the coded police operation "Rugëtimi" the citizens were handcuffed:

- Rrahman Skuka, 28 years old, resident of Dibër;
- Bajram Shiti, 24 years old, resident of Bulqiza;
- Bukurosh Neziri, 33 years old, resident of Durrës
- Ulvi Huna, 27 years old, resident of Dibër;
- Hysni Hani, 59 years old, resident of Durrës;
- Kujtim Bajramaj, 61 years old, resident of Fushë-Kruje,

"These citizens were caught red-handed by the Police services, outside a gas station, with 1 automatic firearm, 1 "Glock" type pistol firearm, a quantity of combat ammunition, as well as with the amount of 222 thousand new leks and 710 euros, which were seized as material evidence." it is stated in the Police announcement.

The six arrested are accused of the criminal offense "Unauthorized possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", committed in collaboration.

The police announce that investigations continue to identify and bring to justice other persons involved in the criminal activity of firearms trafficking to Kosovo.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance in Kuka, for further action.
