The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, called on the members of the National Council to support the citizen protests against Edi Rama and his government.
"The summer we are leaving behind will go down in history as the summer that burned Edi Rama. We are at the end of August. We are closing the hottest summer of recent years, a summer so scorching that month after month, week after week, day after day it has melted and is melting the narco-state, its leader is Edi Rama ," said Berisha.
"Fires burned Albania this summer like rarely any year before. Numerous fires in Fushë Krujë, Krujë, Dajt, Dibër, Bulqizë, Pukë, Finiq, Mallakastër, Gramsh, etc. They were almost not managed at all. Emergency funds for the fires had gone to concerts to quell the protest.
But this summer, the fires, like never before, burned even more than that. The fires burned the cards of the criminal party. As you saw in the video, from the socialists themselves who burned their cards in Poliçan, in Divjaka, in Dimal, not counting the thousands and thousands of others who were finally burned on the boulevard of Tirana. This summer melted the propaganda of the AKSHI with its heat. It melted the Sun, the Lindas of the AKSHI.
"I remember that Ermal Beqiri of AKSHI, after stealing 200 million euros, was arrested in France one day and a few weeks later, Edi Rama and the Ministry of Finance gave this castle-keeper several more million euros to share with him. Millions of euros that go from Albanians' money to Beqiri's accounts, who is in a cell in France," said the leader of the DP.
Berisha praised the three-month-long protest which, according to him, destroyed Rama.
"In temperatures where the wine could be roasted in the heat of the asphalt, pressures, wild threats and unceasing provocations from political terrorist patrons, the narcopolice and the government drug cartels against peaceful protesters. Although in a river of animalistic media insults issued by Ymer Çorapet and Frrok Çupërat, free citizens, true heroes, day after day have protested without stopping in an admirable manifestation of the Albanian DNA, of dignity, courage, and resistance. In terms of length, the second longest protest after the one on the Street of Hope, marking in terms of size absolutely the most massive protest that Albania has ever seen since the 90s until today," said Berisha.
Berisha demanded the prime minister's resignation, stating that, according to him, this would be the "least harmful scenario" for Rama.
"Absolutely, after a summer like this, every person in the world in Edi Rama's place would have resigned and only resigned. Resignation for Edi Rama would be the least harmful scenario for him under these conditions. However, in 13 years of absolute power, Edi Rama was not a leader who is not remembered, but he could never become a man either, because he stole and only stole. He stole at night, he stole during the day, he stole awake, he stole in his sleep the citizens of this country. Therefore, even though he has had the people in the square for three months, he does not give up and does not dare to think about his resignation. Therefore, it is our duty as the true opposition of Albania to do everything to lead Edi Rama to resign. The first duty, as we have done since the first days, is to unconditionally support the heroic and extraordinary youth civic protest. Today, after 90 days, all those efforts of our enemies who wanted, just like flies on a horse's butt, to "They seemed to be the ones pulling the cart. They did everything as tools of Edi Rama, with their slogans against the DP, so that the Democrats would not be in protest. But they were wrong, they were wrong badly. The DP and the protest are connected like the eye to the light", said the leader of the DP.
