In the 87th protest against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama, activist Arben Kola focused on the participation of the Albanian diaspora in the civic protest.
Kola said that for 87 nights, citizens have gathered in the square, while this summer many Albanians living abroad have chosen not to spend their holidays in their homeland, but to join the protest for the overthrow of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Kola emphasized that the development of technology and real-time communication has made Albanians abroad present every night in the square.
"We have 87 nights of civic awareness, 87 nights of national awareness. This beautiful protest would not be possible without the participation of our diaspora, which this summer has decided not to take a vacation, but to protest until Ramović is overthrown. The diaspora is with us! The diaspora is with us! The diaspora is with us!…
Historically, our diaspora has maintained an extremely important role, but in the digital age it has been more present than ever. Since the digital age made real-time communication possible for us and, to overthrow Edvin Ramović, the diaspora from the USA, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria is present with us every night in the square. And, as Gjergj Kastrioti entrusted to us, unity is strength”, said activist Arben Kola.
