Spain

Over 10 tons of cocaine have been discovered in two industrial silos in the city of Águilas, Spain , in an operation that has put an Albanian criminal organization at the center of investigations.

According to Spanish media, the drugs were stored in two industrial facilities, which were allegedly used as bases for their collection and distribution in Spain and other European countries.

One of the most important details discovered during the investigation is that the boxes containing the cocaine had addresses marked on them to which the drug was to be sent. This element is expected to help investigators reconstruct the distribution network and identify the people behind the trafficking organization.

The drugs were discovered in the El Labradorcico industrial area after a pallet loaded with cocaine fell during the unloading process.

The collision caused damage to part of the cargo and the scattering of several packages of cocaine on the floor of the silo.

The workers who were in the premises quickly left, abandoning the work vehicle. A Municipal Police patrol arrived at the scene, having been notified of a possible accident at work, but found no one in the industrial premises.

After the checks, authorities discovered the second silo, bringing the total amount of cocaine to over 10 tons.

According to reports, more than 5 tons of cocaine were found in the first silo, while the discovery of the second facility significantly increased the amount seized.

The value of the cargo on the illegal market is estimated to be over 100 million euros.

Investigators from the Unit for the Fight against Organized Crime and Drug Trafficking are analyzing the addresses marked on the boxes to determine the destinations of the cargo and the logistical structure of the organization.
