Milan-Inter

The Milan-Inter derby tonight will be the highest-grossing Serie A match in history. The club's cashier on Via Aldo Rossi still had a calculator in his hand yesterday and only in the coming hours will the exact amount be known, but it is already certain that the figure (gross) will surpass the previous record set precisely in the first-leg derby, at Inter Milan's home, when 8,649,494 euros ended up in the black and blue box office.

Quota 9 million

At the moment there is a certainty that it will be an absolute record for Serie A: the collection will be greater than 8.7 million euros, but it is not expected to reach 9 million. Tickets have been practically impossible to find for days and the attendance in the stadium stands will be over 75,500.

The Curva Nord, which this time will be the away fans' section, will be all Inter fans, while the Curva Sud will "roar" along with the rest of the stadium to push AC Milan to victory. Before today's match, the previous record for ticket sales in Milan's history belonged to last season's derby, on February 2, 2025, when the figure of 7,344,878 euros was reached.

Record audience

The "Devil's" crowd with this new sell-out is confirmed as the best in Italy in terms of attendance at championship matches (the current average of 72,844 will increase even more after today's match). The advantage over Inter Milan's home match average (71,758) will increase, in anticipation of the last matches of the season that promise a large fan presence.

Because at stake will be very important points for the race towards qualification for the UEFA Champions League or perhaps even for the fight for the title. Tonight evening we will know more. In the meantime, the fact remains that almost a hundred places will be represented by people who have bought tickets to the stadium and the 220 seats in the press stand will all be occupied. Near the pitch there will be 50 photographers and 25 social media managers, who will show the moments of the match through original content and perspectives.

Even bigger will of course be the television audience, impossible to estimate in advance. Given that there will be many international broadcasters and the signal will be distributed worldwide by televisions and OTT platforms, the Milan derby will be visible in more than 200 countries. A full and enthusiastic San Siro (with guaranteed coverage by 28 cameras, including a spectacular Spider-Cam) will be a very good presentation card for the entire Serie A.

Club 1899

The hospitality facilities are also fully booked, such as Club 1899, for a total of 5,000 guests, another record in the club's history. Many people have already registered to visit Casa Milan with its red and black museum and the Meazza stadium museum.

A few minutes before kick-off, a laser show is scheduled to illuminate the stadium. After that, the space will be left to the fans of both teams, who – although they cannot perform gigantic choreography like in the past – are still preparing something for this match.
