Images like this one of the Taiwan area's transformation into a multi-story building with abstract "cloud" shapes serve as images of progress for the Prime Minister. Tall towers, luxury ghettos, glittering stadiums, colorful models continue to remain the government's main vision for the "capital of the Balkans" and the coast.

Many rightly raise concerns about the source of these investments and the great suspicions of drug money laundering and corruption in the construction industry. But let's leave this dark side aside for a moment. Let's assume for a moment, however unrealistic a hypothesis it may seem, that all these billions are as pure as amber and do not criminalize society.

Even in this ideal scenario, the question remains the same: What are we really building? The City or the Citizen?

The basis of a nation and a functional city is human development. A true society is not formed by the height and luxury of buildings. Concrete can create beautiful views for postcards and social networks, but it remains cold and empty if an educated, emancipated society with sustainable well-being does not live inside it. These vertical swamps in every space that has remained free are nothing if, the absolute priority is not to invest in PEOPLE, in education and upbringing. Better less towers and resorts for the few and more education, tranquility and civic culture for all.

The opposite towards which we are heading has severely criminalized society, has struck and killed the work ethic to the core. Our young people are seeing that enrichment, power, social status are achieved through shortcuts, corruption or drugs. Thus, honest work, profession and intellectual dedication are completely devalued. Why study and work honestly when the 'model' that is exalted in every corner of the city is that of dirty money and effortless glamour?

This mindset stems first from the shallow cultural and political formation of the Prime Minister himself. These luxurious sarcophagi that are being erected in our cities as monuments of emptiness, along with the obsession with false splendor, are the model that he propagates every day. It is a model that feeds on contempt for normality, arrogance and mockery of true values, the attempt to sell undeserved money as success. This model is best complemented by the people he chooses to lead and co-govern, cut with the same scissors.

The height of absurdity and irony is that they call themselves socialists and lead a “socialist” party. There is no greater paradox than this! What does the left have to do with this false splendor of luxury scumbags? It is a black comedy to see how the ideal of socialism, which theoretically protects the weak, the worker, public space, social equality, in Albania is dreamed up and projected with 50-story towers, village resorts and billionaire yachts.

A "leftism" that takes public assets from the state and citizens to give them to business-political dynasties or money launderers! This is the most ridiculous political invention of the century.

However, degraded politics does not love the Citizen. It fears the critical, conscious and sovereign man, because he is not deceived by mirrors, he does not flatter you, he cannot be given water in a sieve. An uneducated people is a grave failure. For the evil power it turns into a strategy. Why face the light of a free mind. It is infinitely easier to rule over the darkness of ignorance./Gazeta Dita
