KURBIN - Although with great hesitation, the citizen often mentioned by the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama during this electoral campaign has finally reacted to Patronage, asking him not to include him in political debates.
The resident of Kurbin, Noc Rroku, of an unspecified age, makes a firm appeal to Prime Minister Rama: " My name has been abused all these years of pluralism, so I appeal to him not to talk about me again!" We have a lot of problems!"
We remind the readers that Rama, for the last time, involved Noci against the latter's wish, in an electoral meeting in the district of Gjirokastra. He called on those present at the meeting to vote for the majority candidate for mayor, otherwise they should not seek a new path from the government.
"If you didn't vote for our candidate, then don't complain that you stuck to the old ways. Vote for us, otherwise you will get Noc Rroku ," said Rama.

After becoming aware of this threat, Rroku declared for Patronajist that the head of the government is blowing the provincial dasas. " Lord Rama knows that I am from Kurbini, and I don't even intend to go to Gjinokastra to please him. Noc Rroku has seen nothing but his own work and has not fallen on anyone's neck, even less the gynocastrites or those in charge, " he insisted.
Asked by the Patronage why Rama mentions it so quickly, Noci, after thinking a little, said:
"Maybe Mr. Prime Minister confuses me with a lezjan, Nua Rrokun. Do you remember, for many years on the wall of the former paper factory in Lezha, the expression: 'Private property!' Good luck, Nua Rroku'. I don't know if Nua Rroku became the owner today, but I have nothing to do with him."

In retrospect, threats against Noc Rrok are an old story in Albanian electoral campaigns. Some archaeologists even say that they have found artifacts of the use of Noc Rock as a warning that the interlocutor has nothing to gain, even before the 90s. According to them, since the 80s, disgruntled citizens secretly talked to each other that they had gone to the store to buy bread, but received Noc Rrok; that they went to the head of housing to look for an apartment; to buy a television, a refrigerator, to get the ration meat, etc., etc. But in all cases they were given Noc Rrokun.
The Noc-Rrokiane legend continued even after the fall of communism. Various political parties and leaders, in their electoral campaigns, promised everything, but in the end the voters received the deserted Noci.
One of the most emblematic episodes was recorded at the end of 1996, when the then president Sali Berisha promised the Albanians that their clean money would be returned to them one by one from the pyramid firms. But the majority of Albanians still took Noc Rrok.
Noci was also successfully used by the new prime minister, Fatos Nano, who assured the pyramid victims that they would receive most of the lost money. It is clear what the liars got.

Noci himself does not understand how his name came to be associated with fraud and failure to keep promises. He himself says that in his life he was serious, hardworking, supported his family and raised and educated his children.
"Only once, I remember that a candidate for deputy came and promised to find me a job in Tirana, according to the school he heads. We decided and gave him the votes as a tribe, " he confesses.
When the Patronage asked him what happened next, he replied:
"In conclusion, the candidate became a deputy, but I took Noc Rroku..."
