The 19-year-old Albanian Xuliano Kelliçi lost his life in the tragic accident recorded in Italy on Saturday evening, where he died together with his three friends, Daniele De Re, Daniele Ortolan and Marco Da Re.

The four young men were returning home in a Volkswagen Polo after a night out with friends. The car allegedly skidded while taking a left turn, then collided with a maple tree and overturned in a ditch.

The young Albanian was said to have played as a goalkeeper in one of the football academies in the area. One of his friends says that he was a very good goalkeeper.

"Some guys in sports suits stop near the station. They knew well Juliano Kelliç, the 18-year-old of Albanian origin who lived in Cordignano. "I played football with him right in Orsago, between Allievi. He was a very strong goalkeeper", Mohamed tells the Italian media.

"Then we lost contact because we both changed teams, a month ago we crossed paths by chance: he told me that he had quit football, but was thinking of starting over...", adds the 19-year-old's friend.
