Sali Berisha/Ylli Manjani

Professor Dr. Sali Berisha, whose scientific title is worth more than all the plagiarized titles of his party's teachers' union, yesterday called on people to take to the streets to "kill fear."

In principle, I have nothing against this call. Every political opposition has this job. To exploit public discontent to gain support and electoral capital. It is completely legitimate.

Of course, we would have loved and supported an opposition according to the Le Pen model, which condemns violence and promises public order. But even according to our model, Le Peng, come on, it's called!

My problem with calling the doctor is not the right to protest, but the logic of the argument and the sincerity of the one making the call.

First of all, who said that people are afraid to go out?!

Since the end of May, the square has seen protests every day. People have come out, protested, and recently clashed with the police and used all kinds of means. So, if there's one thing that has been proven, it's the lack of fear to protest.

So, what fear is the doctor trying to kill today?!

Second, let's admit for a moment that fear exists. Why doesn't the doctor himself come forward first to help the rest of us kill that fear?!

Why should we not be afraid, while the doctor has the right to maintain his fear?!

This is the most incomprehensible part of the whole narrative. Because you can't ask people to come out, clash, risk their freedom and health, while you, who seek to seize power from their sacrifice, stand aside.

In politics, there is a simple rule: whoever seeks power must take on more responsibility and risk than those he asks to support him.

The logic of "you split up so I can win" doesn't work! Not so thick, damn it!
Dilute the solution a little!

You go first, Doctor!

Come out and lead your hoodlums that you gather and shelter in SHQUP. Come out and show us that you politically own that incursion of fire, stones on the police, destruction, looting of shops and public violence. These scare the nation, just for the sake of knowledge and not the protests themselves.

But, come out for once and show us that those who act on behalf of the opposition are truly your people and not groups that serve other interests.

Prove to us, please, that your street opposition is stronger than the camps of the born-Ari of ANTIFA or the Agron of eggs. Show us that you are stronger than the self-proclaimed camps of Albini or the fundamentalist camps that even dream of Sharia rule.

That in fact, the Doctor is in battle with them, for the place they have occupied, not with Edi Rama.

Ndoshta edhe frikën e krahasimit me pjellën politike duhet ta vrasë…!

Go first. Take responsibility for the protest you call. Condemn the violence you don't control and don't hide politically behind those who do. You will really gain more support by taking responsibility and condemning the violence that is not yours. You would gain even more if you stopped your own violence, but you won't win that much because you will...

Fear is not killed by sending others forward. Fear is killed by taking responsibility yourself.

And if you can't get out, at least don't consider people to be the ones who are afraid!

Come on, doctor, don't be afraid!
(Because you were also in America... But that's another topic)
