As predicted, the football championship in Ukraine will encounter many difficulties since it is a country that is at war.
Problems have appeared in its first week as the match played in Lviv between Ruch Lviv and Metalist Kharkiv was interrupted three times due to warnings about a possible air raid.
The players and all the staff involved in the match rushed to shelter in the bunkers, while the Ukrainian press reported that the match lasted for more than four hours.
The first interruption came in the 44th minute of the first half and lasted a full 40 minutes. Then the players returned to the field to warm up, while the break between the parts lasted only seven minutes and not 15 as usual due to the lost time.
However, the second half did not last long as only six minutes into its start, the air raid alarm again interrupted the match.
This time the duration of the stoppage was a full 1 hour and 11 minutes, while the following match lasted until the 77th minute, when another alarm interrupted the challenge for the third time.
After a 33-minute break, the match resumed to go to the end as it was the friends who triumphed with the result 1-2 in a very unusual and difficult situation to play football.
We remind you that the three former players of Tirana, Ardit Toli, Ennur Totre and Taulant Seferi, who have become part of Vorskla Poltava, have been transferred to Ukraine this market.
