New details have emerged regarding the gunshot wound to Taulant Hotaj recorded this morning in the village of Shtoj, Shkodra.

According to preliminary information, Hotaj was drinking his morning coffee at the bar when a masked person, wearing a mask similar to those used during the COVID-19 pandemic, approached him from behind and shot him, writes A2. 

As a result, the singer was injured. The reasons that led to this incident are still unknown, while the police are working to identify and apprehend the suspected perpetrator, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the injury.

Police sources indicate that citizen Taulant Hotaj is a person with a criminal record because in June 2025 he was deported from France after being convicted of intentional serious injury.

Hotaj served 6 months in prison and after his sentence was reduced, the French state deported him to Albania.
