"Nonsense is not journalism, you are publicly humiliating me" -

Socialist Party MP, Iris Luarasi, has reacted after news published this morning regarding the police escort of activist Arvina Lleshi, who the day before was among the protesters who verbally clashed with the MP.

Luarasi has denied claims that he reported the people who attacked him the day before to the police, clarifying that he has not taken any legal steps against them, including activist Lleshi.

According to the socialist lawmaker, Lleshi's escort to the police station is not related to the confrontation with him, but to another incident that occurred during the protest, related to MP Ilva Gjuzi, whose vehicle was blocked and pelted with eggs and tomatoes by a group of protesters.

"FAKE NEWS AND VILE MANIPULATION," writes Luarasi, describing the news linking him to the activist's companionship as manipulation.

She has also criticized the use of her image in materials that, according to her, aim to present the situation in a distorted way, considering this practice as a form of public humiliation and digital violence against a woman.

"FAKE NEWS AND BAD MANIPULATION. The protester was escorted to the police station in connection with the attack on MP Ilva Gjuzi's private vehicle and the damage to its mirror, and it has nothing to do with me at all."

So far I have not taken any legal action against the people who denigrated me yesterday. Those who use manipulation and fake news do not serve the protest: they dirty it.

"The use of my face on another woman's body is public humiliation and digital violence against a woman. When fake news is added to this, we no longer have information, satire, or journalism. Journalism seeks the truth, while filth feeds on lies. Don't confuse them. And filth is not called journalism," Luaras's reaction.
