In the 99th protest against the government, Professor Lush Susaj stated that the main demand of the protesters remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government.
Speaking about the situation of fires that have engulfed several areas of the country, Susaj claimed that they are not a result of natural causes, but were deliberately set.
"There are no natural fires, they are deliberately set. Albania is burning due to the Mountains Package and the dirty anti-Albanian property games," he said.
Susaj also made claims about links between the areas affected by the fires and various development projects. “Wherever there is a fire, a resort or a photovoltaic park sprouts,” the professor declared, without providing evidence for these claims.
Returning to the protest, he described it as a movement that, according to him, is expanding and strengthening the demand for political change.
"The protest is exemplary, it is growing and has set a fundamental condition, the resignation of Rama and the government," said Susaj.
At the end of his speech, he accused the government of damaging political pluralism and democracy in the country, stating that it had "eradicated real pluralism and democracy."
