Prime Minister Edi Rama congratulated his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, yesterday, who has set a historic record in leading the Italian government.

Rama congratulated Meloni on the longest mandate in the history of the Italian Republic, while his message included jokes about Italian politics, women in power, and relations with Europe.

Meanwhile, Meloni did not hesitate to communicate a message to the prime minister, writing that Albania is a friend and a valuable partner and that, according to her, Rama manages to combine irony with some not-so-comfortable truths!

"Edi, my friend, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video message. As always, you manage to combine irony with some uncomfortable truths!"

I'm glad to know that, after so many changes of interlocutors in Rome, you finally had the opportunity to create a little more affection for the current one. Frequent changes of the bench never help to build something solid. But in the end, when you find the right team, it's easier to play well and get results.

Over the years, we have shared a sincere relationship and concrete cooperation, which has increasingly strengthened the bond between our two countries.

"Albania is a valued friend and partner, and I am proud of the journey we are taking together, even within Europe. A warm hug and see you soon!", writes Meloni.
