WASHINGTON / TIRANA - The political earthquake in the United States, where former President Donald Trump has been accused of acquiring top-secret state documents and keeping them in his home, and even being declared arrested and then released on bail, has made waves own seismic up to Albania.

Për publikun shqiptar nuk është sekret se të gjitha sekretet shtetërore, që prej fillim-viteve 90-të ndodhen në duart e asokohe presidentit, e më vonë edhe kryeministrit Berisha. Është fjala për një menu tejet të pasur dokumentacionesh, që fillojnë nga krimet, veset dhe hajdutëritë e fshehta të ish-zyrtarëve të lartë e të mesëm, intelektualëve e kujtdo që regjimi komunist mendonte se mund t’i duheshin një ditë. Pisllëqet e regjistruara dhe dokumentuara nga Sigurimi i Shtetit, u bënë bashkë me dosjet sekrete të spiunëve e bashkëpunëtorëve të Sigurimit, listat e hafijeve të brendshëm e të jashtëm, agjentë e kundëragjentë, individëve që kishin shitur vëllezër, familjarë e shokë, për pak karrierë ose thjesht për t’ua futur miqve si hobi.

This is the official, mundane and bureaucratic history of the secret Albanian archives. But from this point onwards, the real horrors begin, which have actually brought into play the top of Albanian justice, SPAK.

Thus, in recent years, fragmentary information has been leaked to the press that some of the secret documents, hot files and secret information are not only located in the toilet, the annex, the warehouse, the garage or the shelves of the safe and well-ventilated kitchen of the SB institution, - so where they should be - but they have made a foothold and surprisingly, they are also found in some irrelevant institutions that should have been merged in time.

The point is, the media have announced from time to time that some files of this nature have been found in the archives of the Ministry of the Interior, some others in the State Archives, another hand belongs to the Intelligence Service, and what's worse, a The Authority for Information on State Security Files, AIDSSH, also had a good bunch of files.

But these news for some time fell on deaf ears, even though the Patronageist has information that Berisha himself has discreetly raised this issue several times. It must be said that only the reform in justice made it possible for the new bodies to deal seriously with this issue. Thus, SPAK has launched proactive investigations as to how these sensitive data ended up on the wrong shelves.

But so far the progress in the investigations is modest, Patronajisti learns. The heads of the various archives testify before SPAK prosecutors and declare that they have no idea how those files ended up there. Their common refrain is that they don't have much time in office and don't know what their predecessors have done. Those pigs justify themselves with the weak reasoning that, being managers of archives, they believed that they had to have some archives in custody, to justify the salary. But sources from SPAK claim that these attempts to escape the clutches of the law will not hold water for a long time.
