Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić did not attend the funeral of Ratko Mladić, but sent his son, Danilo Vučić, to the funeral ceremony.
Serbian media report that Danilo Vučić paid homage at the Church of St. Luke the Apostle in Belgrade, where Mladić's coffin was placed.
The ceremony was also attended by Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić, Justice Minister Nenad Vujić, Culture Minister Nikola Selaković, and Minister without Portfolio Nenad Popović. Also present were the leader of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, the Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Aleksandar Bocan-Harchenko, and former Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos.
Vučić had earlier announced that he would not be present at the funeral, as he had a meeting scheduled with the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the same time.
