Erdogan: Mitsotakis doesn't keep his word, for us no longer exists

Turkey has not welcomed Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis's request to the US not to hand over F-16 fighter jets to Ankara.

"For me, Mitsotakis no longer exists!" turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared at the end of the government cabinet meeting.

Erdogan said the US would not decide to be influenced by Mitsotakis' request, which he accused as a man who does not keep his word, as according to the Turkish President, the Greek Prime Minister has promised that he would not prevent the delivery of fighter jets, nor would he allow other countries to interfere in talks between them to crash in the Aegean.

Turkey was part of the F-35 ghost fighter jet production programme. But after buying the Russian S-400 anti-missile system, the US suspended Ankara and conditioned its return to the agreement with the annihilation of the Russian defense system.

Erdogan has refused, while threatening that if he does not take the aircraft as promised, where Turkey has paid $1 trillion, then he will see alternative routes, implying that he could buy aircraft in Russia.

As a solution, it was agreed that instead of the F-35, Turkey would be sent a set of F-16 fighter jets.
