Why are socialists keeping the President's name secret?
Prime Minister Edi Rama

All efforts by the media and journalists to secure even informally a name that the Socialists are discussing for the country's new President have received the same answer these days; Names are only learned after the party's parliamentary group meeting on Saturday.

The group's meeting is called at 10:00 p.m. local time, meaning that at best around noon there will be a name coming out of this meeting and probably also the man who will succeed Meta in the Presidency.

From noon to 6 p.m., when the fourth round of voting is called, there is 6 hours of time, a minimum time for the media and the public to learn more about the candidate for President, before he or she is elected.

Whatever the winner, or winner, the deviation from public discussion of the candidate, or the candidate if not censors, undermines the credibility of the name selection. First, no time will be given to the public to be known by name and the Socialists themselves will not take back citizens' impressions of the candidate, or the candidate whether they will be positive or negative.

In both cases the choice will continue ahead. But that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is the possibility that the name that will come out to repeat the candidacy of analyst Artan Hoxha in 2012. He was Sali Berisha's first choice, at the time in power after the failure of talks with Eddie Rama in opposition.

But on the day Artan Hoxha was to be voted out, he withdrew after accusations that he had co-operated with State Security in the early 1980s. He denied the allegations, but admitted that he had been contacted by an insurance company that had asked him to cooperate, but that he had told him "not cut off". After his withdrawal, the PD-controlled chef chose the late Bujar Ii.

Theoretically, the Socialists may have remembered this happened in 2012, but if theoretically the possibility that the name proposed by them will come out of cene exists, but with the distinction from 2012 that these cenes will later accompany him as President-elect and after July 24th as President of the country.

Therefore, what is the reason that the SP bears in the drawer the name of the new President, or the new President of the country, further and further fuelling suspicions of accusations that he is seeking the capture of the institution?

Because there is a perception that the longer the Socialists delay the name, the more credible the accusations that they need the president to sign the sea-taking with Greece to The Hague, to sign the new plan to spread the Armed Forces and other nearby, which are suspicious and in the first case can amount to national treason.

Therefore, if the SP seeks to keep the pledge for a president who will not represent only the majority in Parliament, the name must be cast for consultation, because the SP itself is not the majority of Albanians with 800,000 votes received from the 3.59 ml voters registered for last year's elections. He can't be a state secret.
