Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe has continued his criticism of the High Judicial Council and the High Prosecutorial Council regarding decisions on magistrates' salaries.
In the Economy and Finance Committee, Brace stated that decision-making on State Treasury funds should only be made by institutions authorized by law.
"No one who is not authorized by law can access the state treasury. The money belongs to Albanian taxpayers," said Brace, warning that such decisions could violate fiscal discipline and create a precedent for other financial demands.
The socialist MP emphasized that the salaries of magistrates have increased significantly due to political will and that they are now ranked above the salaries of MPs.
"It has been our political will that they be paid much better than MPs. Fiscal discipline is fundamental for the state," said Brace, adding that Albania would not easily cope with an economic or financial crisis.
