A 60-year-old man has died in hospital after being knocked down by an electric pole during construction work to install it in the village of Vasie, Dibër .

The incident occurred on November 5, at around 11:45 a.m. According to preliminary police information, citizen L. Sh., an electrician by profession, was allegedly carrying out work to install an electric pole when it fell and crushed him.

As a result of the injuries sustained, the 60-year-old man died in hospital. The person in charge of the electrical substation in Fushë-Alie, Dibra, has been criminally prosecuted at large.

According to the police report, citizen BD, 59 years old, resident of the village of Renx, is accused of the criminal offense of " Violation of occupational safety regulations ".

Police are continuing their investigations to fully document the circumstances of the incident.
