Kosovo Special Prosecutor Files Indictments Against 35 People for Mass Murders

The Kosovo Special Prosecution Office has filed an indictment at the Basic Court in Pristina against 35 defendants for war crimes in the Jasharëvi neighborhood in Prekaz.

The Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Blerim Isufaj, in a press conference held on Friday, said that the indictment is related to the killing of civilians in the Jashar neighborhood. 

"The importance of this indictment is special due to the fact that it is the first indictment related to the killing of civilians in the Jasharëvi neighborhood in Prekaz," Isufaj said, saying that it is now up to the Court to evaluate the indictment and the evidence presented in it.

Isufaj said that in this case, extra care was taken to ensure that the allegations raised were proven before the Court.
