"Go away friend, return to your place of pigs", the German policeman

German police have launched an investigation into a video that went viral on TikTok, where a police officer insulted and made racist comments about an Albanian.

According to German media, the investigation has become difficult, as the 21-year-old Albanian can not go to Germany to testify, as he has been banned from entering the country due to prison sentence.

The Albanian will be questioned in his home country as part of international legal aid. For this, the public prosecution has contacted the Albanian authorities.

Early last week, the affected suspect shared a video on TikTok that spread rapidly. He had already posted the video on the YouTube internet platform in 2020, but there had been very little reaction. TikTok video shows an eight-second scene that apparently took place at Berliner Platz in Giessen.

There a policeman says to a man: “Go away. Go away friend, or I will forget myself. Return to your place of pigs. ”

According to the prosecutor, the event must have taken place in the fall of 2020. Meanwhile, the suspect said that the incident had already taken place in 2018. The question of when the video was shot is the subject of the current investigation.

Police Chief Bernd Paul called the racist statements in the video completely unacceptable.

Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against the police officer. The public prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the initial suspicion of insulting and inciting hatred.

The 21-year-old Albanian is learned to have attracted attention and has been arrested for various crimes. If an order to leave the country has been issued or if the person in question wishes to leave the country voluntarily, the public prosecutor's office will generally refrain from further enforcement after about half of the detention period.

In this way the prisoner can leave the prison and travel to the homeland. At the same time, the investigating authority is taking him on a quest to make sure he is noticed if he is to re-enter the country. In such a case, he will have to serve the remainder of the sentence.
