"Stop the construction of Vlora airport", the European Parliament

Albania is in the focus of internationals.

In this series of political developments, Isabel Santos has drawn up a draft resolution, in terms of content, the most critical in recent years.

The rapporteur of the European Parliament for Albania stopped, among other things, on the construction of the airport of Vlora.

 

The attention of the Albanian government is drawn and it is requested to immediately stop this project that violates and violates national and international norms of biodiversity protection.

Specifically, point 84 of the  draft resolution  stated:

"The Albanian government is asked to stop projects that risk violating national and international norms of biodiversity protection, such as the International Airport of Vlora and to stop the construction of hydropower plants in protected areas".

We remind you that environmentalists in Albania have been against the construction of Vlora Airport. On the other hand, the citizens of Vlonia have requested the opposite as they claimed the development of this coastal city with its construction.
