A 34-year-old woman was arrested in Korça after defrauding the owners of 3 businesses and managed to extort 160,000 new ALL from them.

From the conducted investigations, it appears that the 34-year-old woman went to the businesses of citizens FM, IF and MD, in the city of Korça and in the village of Pirg, Maliq, and it is suspected that through fraud she benefited from them, a total of 160,000 new lek.  

As a result, 34-year-old Rezarta Laçka, a resident of Korçë, was arrested, after the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Korçë General Jurisdiction ordered her detention for the criminal offense of "Fraud".

How did the scheme work?

The young woman used to go to the people from whom she took money and, through connections with third parties, she asked them for money with the claim that she would return it in a short time.

She would tell people that she had problems and needed money immediately, and in a short time she would pay back the same amount using mutual friends as collateral for the debt. Each of them received 20,000 - 30,000 ALL.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
