Grievous footage of the murder of the two Islamaj brothers in Bathore, Kamza, has emerged, documenting the tense moments leading up to the October 19 tragedy. The video initially shows an argument between neighbors, while a cement mixer is seen passing by in the background. Moments later, gunshots and screams are heard.

The incident occurred on Petrela Street, following a conflict between the brothers and their neighbor, Ngushëlim Manzi, 40, a Military Police employee. The fight allegedly started over the passage of a concrete mixer near Manzi's apartment, while the brothers were carrying out work on building a perimeter wall.

The verbal argument escalated into a physical conflict and ended with the use of a firearm. As a result, two brothers lost their lives, while the third brother was seriously injured.

The victims are Selam Islamaj, 30, who died at the scene, and Nazmi Islamaj, 48, who died during transport to the hospital due to hemorrhage. Shefqet Islamaj, 44, was wounded by a bullet in the chest and was taken to the Trauma Hospital in critical condition.

Ngushëlim Manzi was arrested after the incident, while police seized the service pistol, type TT, which was allegedly used in the crime.

In his testimony, Manzi expressed remorse and claimed that he shot after suffering a psychological shock during the conflict. According to his version, the Islamaj brothers had pushed and raped him, his parents, and his sister with crowbars.

The defense attorney has requested a forensic examination to verify the allegations of signs of violence. This version constitutes the suspect's claim and must be verified by the investigation.

On October 21, the Tirana Criminal Court set the security measure of “prison arrest” for Ngushëlim Manzi. The investigative group continues its work to fully document the circumstances of the incident and determine criminal responsibilities.

The published footage brings attention back to the banal conflict that ended with tragic consequences for the Islamaj family, while investigations must clarify the full dynamics of the clash and what happened in the moments before the shooting.
