New details have been revealed from the order of Prime Minister  Edi Rama , who on Thursday afternoon requested from ministers the resignation of the directors of state agencies in Tirana and in the districts under their jurisdiction.

The directors affected will continue to remain in office as the first phase of this operation only concerns administration through a letter of resignation.

The second phase will continue with the analysis of the performance of each resigned director. The government has so far made no comment on this wave of requested resignations.

According to tch , this is related to the advancement of the Prime Minister's idea of ​​Meritocracy in the administration.

This is seen as paving the way for Minister of Public Administration Adea Pirdeni, who was voted into parliament as a minister and was sworn in as President today.

There are more than 130 agency leaders at the central and local levels who must submit the required resignations.
