Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha reacted today regarding the statement made earlier by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who published the data of some of the people detained during the violent protests.
Berisha declared that young people have made history in Albania, mentioning the toppling of the bust of the dictator, Enver Hoxha.
Further, he responded to Prime Minister Rama, by releasing photos of all Socialist Party exponents who have been or are under investigation by the Special Prosecution Office.
Sali Berisha's statement:
Edi Rama appeared more than ever before Albanians as a bastard of the communist executioners he belongs to.
Today he appeared before Albanians as a spokesman for the prosecution of times gone by.
He accused, or presented a gallery of names, according to him, incriminated, with various charges, from cold weapons, to the production and use of drugs, to incest.
He forgot that mentioning the rope in the hanged man's house is not wise because if they go back to his court file from the '90s, they will find accusations there that he should never have made to others. He said that in no country in Europe has it happened that there have been more injured police officers than protesters. Shameless, dishonest, immoral!
The ratio of protesters to police injuries is at least 1 to 15, it could be 1 to 30 because there are tens of hundreds of injured people who avoid hospitals to avoid persecution. So, he cheated in the most shameless way.
I tell him that in no country in Europe has it become common to manipulate figures the way you do, because during these 11 days, Albanians saw skulls cracked by the bullets of protesters.
They saw bullets rain down on their bodies. They saw, as they had probably never seen before, dozens of bodies lying unconscious or semi-conscious in the hall of the Ministry of Education.
They saw beasts, real animals in uniforms that protesters lying on the ground were kicked on to break their limbs, and they broke their limbs. They saw barbarity against minors as if they were not children, but game animals.
Albanians saw all this.
The truth is that the police officers who have seen injured people can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
And this brazen man remembers that he is in front of Rudina, who told him that I have traveled 1 million and 600 thousand kilometers in Albania. What can you say to him, he is out of his mind!
