The Cyber ​​Crimes Investigation Sector finalizes after a real investigative work, the police operation codenamed "Turbulence".

4 citizens who had adapted the premises of some entities for the organization of games of chance, as well as engaged in the illegal activity of placing sports bets via mobile phones, were arrested. 3 others are being prosecuted.

Seized as material evidence, 7 mobile phones used for placing sports bets, 92,600 new lek, and 475 euros, suspected to be obtained from this illegal activity.

Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes, following the work to identify and attack illegal activities in the field of gambling, after a genuine investigative work, have finalized the police operation coded "Turbulence".

As part of this operation, citizens AM, 25 years old, ES, 22 years old, Sh. N., 32 years old, AS, 36 years old, all residents of Tirana.

Also, citizens AM, 50 years old, O. Sh., 23 years old, and a 16-year-old minor were criminally prosecuted.

During the checks carried out in several entities made available for the organization of gambling, these citizens were found, in whose cell phones the Police services found pages and links that served for placing sports bets.

During the operation, 7 cell phones used for this activity, 92,600 new lek, and 475 euros, sums obtained from this illegal activity, were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
