The former head of the municipality of Fushë Arrëzi, Fran Tuci, who was arrested a month ago, was urgently sent to the prison hospital this morning, due to health problems.

Fran Tuci was in the detention facilities in the Reçi prison, when he felt health complications, and was later sent to the hospital.

Fran Tuci was arrested on July 13 by order of SPAK, on ​​charges of abuse of office and corruption.

Tuci was elected mayor of the Fushë-Arrëz Municipality in the local elections of 2015, as a representative of the Socialist Party and the Alliance for European Albania. He won the mandate with 50.62% of the votes.

He stayed for 8 years at the head of the municipality of Fushë Arrëzi, until the elections of May 14, where he was not re-candidated by the socialists.
