Former "Big Brother VIP Albania 2" resident, Ariana Plakici , is among nine people arrested in Kosovo, as part of an operation against suspected fraud through call centers .

Among the nine people arrested are Ariana Plakici and former KF Prishtina e Re footballer Toni Salihu .

According to reports, the operation took place on October 23, 2026 in Pristina and Obiliq, where police searched four locations suspected of being used for illegal activity. Among those arrested are Kosovo citizens and foreigners.

How the suspected scheme worked

According to the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj, the nine people are suspected of having acted in an organized manner during 2026, using call centers to defraud foreign citizens and illegally obtain money.

The suspects allegedly posed as representatives of financial investment companies to the victims and encouraged them to invest money, including in platforms related to cryptocurrencies.

They are also suspected of using computer equipment and systems to gain remote access to the computers of the victims. The targeted individuals are suspected of including Swedish citizens and other foreign nationals.

What was seized during the operation?

During searches at four locations, police seized 39 computers, five mobile phones, 12 external data storage devices (HDDs), a vehicle, a firearm with six rounds, as well as 850 euros and 100 Swiss francs.

The nine suspects were detained for 48 hours by decision of the State Prosecutor. Subsequently, the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj requested from the Basic Court in Pristina to impose a detention measure against them.
