Italian media have paid attention to the tragedy that happened three days ago in Shkodër, where 68-year-old Vlash Jakaj killed his 10-year-old nephew while cleaning the couple.

The minor was on holiday with his family in his hometown, with his parents and older brother, as they had been living and working for years in the town of Serravalle Pistoiese in Pistoia.

La nazione writes that the community is shocked by the tragic news as the little boy was very loving and friendly in the place where he lived. According to them, the family took the 10-year-old's body to be buried in Italy, where he was born and spent his short life cultivating his first friendships.

"We were shocked by this tragic news", said Arbëria, the association of the Albanian community of Pistoia. A very large community in the provincial territory, rooted and well integrated, which will certainly not fail to mobilize to support the Jakaj family.

Vlash Jakaj is the 68-year-old who accidentally killed his nephew this evening. The serious incident took place in the village of Samrisht in the administrative area of Dajçi in Shkodër. Around 21:55, Jakaj called his grandson, only 10 years old, to help him clean the gun. The two started to clean the couple that the 68-year-old had a permit and in the process the gun was fired and injured the 10-year-old. The child was taken to the hospital, but died on the way. Jakaj himself was also injured by the shooting. He is currently in the hospital.

From the first reconstructions of the policemen who arrived at the scene, it seems that the child was killed by a shotgun accidentally fired by his uncle. The man, who was just cleaning his gun, also seriously injured his hand. But everything faded into the background after he realized that his nephew had been killed.
