The European People's Party (EPP) rapporteur for Albania, Andrey Kovatchev, has reacted to the protests of students and youth in Tirana, demanding that their concerns be heard and taken seriously.

Through a reaction, Kovatchev said that young Albanians are not just demanding promises, but accountability, the fight against corruption and a European future based on democracy and the rule of law.

"The youth of Albania are looking for more than promises: they want accountability, an end to corruption, and a European future built on democracy and the rule of law," said Kovatchev.

The EPP rapporteur also called for the protection of young people's right to peacefully oppose the authorities, stressing the importance of listening to their demands.

"Their voices must be heard, their concerns taken seriously, and their right to peacefully oppose those in power must be protected," Kovatchev stressed.
