The Albanian national team successfully overcame a difficult obstacle like Belarus 2-0, a victory that takes on even more value for the very game that our representative team displayed on the field.

But the Rossoneri led by Rolando Maran have no time to celebrate and relax as they will play the second match of this edition of the Nations League on Tuesday, away against San Marino.

This is a match that on paper is considered easy for the Rossoneri, especially since San Marino suffered a heavy defeat at home to Finland 0-7. Moreover, the balance of direct confrontations between these two teams speaks volumes for our national team. So far, the Albanian National Team and San Marino have faced each other 4 times and all four have been won by the Rossoneri.

The first two matches between the Albanian national team and San Marino have been friendly. The first challenge between them dates back to August 16, 2006 with the red and black team winning with a score of 3-0. The same result was recorded in the second friendly held 8 years later, on June 8, 2014. While the other two challenges between San Marino and the national team have been valid for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. On March 31, 2021, the red and black team won 2-0, while on September 8, 2021 in Tirana, the 5-0 victory of our representative team was recorded.
