After the closing of the morning session and the planning of another session today at 15:00 for the accelerated passage of the direct loan agreement of 302 million US dollars dedicated to defense from the US, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke.
He states that the DP will not vote for this law, despite being in favor of this agreement with the US.
The reason is that according to the DP, moving to an accelerated voting process constitutes a constitutional violation.
" This is the most shameful story. A NATO member country imposes a curfew on its citizens as if it were North Korea. Hundreds of Zetos across the country have been stopped on the streets by police."
What is happening inside the parliament is a shameful act by Edi Rama, who seeks to pass the law through an unconstitutional procedure. There is a provision in the constitution that does not allow passage through an accelerated procedure without a 1-week deadline. Edi Rama seeks at all costs to show that the Constitution is a dead letter to him.
"This is a ruler who has no law or morality. Why did the NATO flag disappear from every corner of the parliament? In one of the first actions he gave this order. We will not vote in anti-constitutional procedures in an absolute way. We are in favor of the loan, but we demand that this procedure be carried out in accordance with the Constitution ," Berisha said.
