The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, says that former chief democrat Lulzim Basha should clarify and make transparent about Russian funding.

"The only problem I have with Basha is to make transparency with Russian funds. I have not communicated, but the audit commission will give him the right to explain this serious but entirely personal act-accusation since it is a fact that it was not related to any institution of the DP, it did not pass through the coffers of the DP not a penny. It is imperative that he clarify this already repeated accusation. I have only this problem with Basha. As long as he is a member of the DP and deputy of the group, he should make this transparent", said the chairman of the DP to journalists outside the Parliament.
