The candidate for the head of the FRPD, Barbara Doda, was disappointed by the election process that was held two days ago, stressing that many of the principles and standards she believed in until the end, even naively, were not fulfilled.

In her statement, Doda adds that the race for the Forum did not even meet the minimum requirements to be such, especially on the day of voting where there are many irregularities with the lists of members and the number of votes. She is insulted that they understood almost the whole game they were playing, an unfair and dishonest game, without rules and standards.

Among other things, Doda says that the moment he realized that it was an unfair competition, he looked for a solution at every door of the DP, but he did not find it.

"I want to tell you that the moment I realized it, I completely refused to become a party to a process that would damage the structures and branches of the FRPD. I withdrew 0 membership forms and did not send any person to the working groups, which for me were completely one-sided. For this, believe me, together with the other candidates, we knocked on every door of the DP and we were not given a solution." said in her statement. 

Barbara Doda declares that the Democratic Party needs new standards to change, while saying that the FRPD elections should serve as a lesson that this election process should not be repeated.

Two days after the elections for the chairman of the Youth Forum, the Democratic Party recognized the candidate Besart Xhaferri as the winner, who was able to secure 5256 votes in this process, with a deep margin over the other candidates.

I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me during these weeks. I had the opportunity to get to know many of you closely and I am more convinced than ever that the youth in Albania deserve much more than what they have been offered so far. I have seen your talents closely and I am grateful for the time you dedicated not just to me, but to this process that the Forum needed so much. Today I am more convinced than ever that Albania's future will be bright if it belongs to you. I firmly believe that every idea and word that I shared with you during the campaign should be the right path for the Forum and for the DP. If the Forum does not change, if it does not reflect the best of what this country has, PD will not change, and Albania itself will not change either. Unfortunately today I do not believe that many of these expectations were met. Beyond the final result, which could have been similar to a model race, many of the principles and standards that I believed in until the end, even naively, were not met. The race for the Forum did not even meet the minimum requirements to be such, especially on the day of voting where irregularities with the lists of members and the number of votes are numerous.

Por përtej kësaj, e kishim kuptuar pothuajse të gjithë lojën që po luanim, një lojë e padrejtë dhe e pandershme, pa rregulla dhe standarte. Dua t’ju them që në moment që e kuptova, refuzova tërësisht të bëhesha palë e një proçesi që do dëmtonte strukturat dhe degët e FRPD-së. Tërhoqa 0 formularë për anëtarësime dhe nuk dërgova asnjë person në grupet e punës, që për mua ishin tërësisht të njëanshme. Për këtë gjë më besoni që së bashku me kandidatët e tjerë kemi trokituar në çdo derë të PD-së dhe nuk na u dha zgjidhje. Na kanë pyetur shpesh nëpër degët e FRPD-së, përse rrinim në garë, përse bëheshim pjesë e një proçesi të tillë. Por le te dihet sot, se ka të rinj në PD që do i dalin për zot, ka të rinj në PD që s’kanë frikë nga e vërteta, ka të rinj në PD që duan vërtetë ta ndryshojnë e ta bëjnë fituese atë, pavarësisht kostove.

Por që të ndryshojë, Partia Demokratike ka nevojë për standarde të reja. Ka nevojë për garë të vërtetë ku listat, komisionerët, numëruesit janë ta garantuar me kohë. Ka nevojë të plotësojë ato standarde që me të drejtë i kërkojmë Edi Ramës sa here dalim në zgjedhje përballë tij. E ardhmja e afërt na detyron të kemi zgjedhje të reja brenda nesh. Le të jetë gara e Forumit një mësim se si NUK duhet bërë ky proces. Primaret e ardhme të PD duhet të jenë një garë model jo vetëm për të rivendosur besimin e thyer në procesin e zgjedhjeve por edhe për të tërhequr pas nesh elitën e shoqërisë. Unë sot jam e sigurtë që ka plot njerëz që i kanë sytë dhe shpresat e tyre nga Partia Demokratike. Por e di po aq mire se koha kalon shpejt dhe mundësitë për të bindur këtë pjesë të shoqërisë po zvogëlohen. Qoftë gara e Forumit një kapitull i fundit në historinë e Partisë sonë. Faleminderit dhe njëherë anëtarëve të Forumit dhe Partisë. Kjo është shtëpia jonë, dhe të ardhmen e saj duhet ta përcaktojmë ne!
