He decided to bury his ex-wife in the golf club, Donald Trump under accusations:

Donald Trump is facing a lot of criticism after the decision to bury his ex-wife Ivana Trump at his golf club in Bedminster.

He is criticized for having done this in order to take advantage of a 'tax break' offered to cemeteries.

Previously, he had registered the same land as a farm to avoid tax obligations again.

In New Jersey, cemeteries are exempt from income, property and corporate taxes.

Under tax laws in the Garden State, there is no minimum number of human remains that must be buried on a given property in order for it to qualify for this 'tax credit'.

Because of a previous deal Trump made with the local government, Bedminster is already subject to a large tax abatement because it is designated as farmland.

Trump first announced plans to build a family cemetery in Bedminster in 2007.

These plans expanded into a cemetery with nearly 300 plots for members of his exclusive club and their families.

The former president has also expressed his desire to one day rest in Bedminster.

Donald Trump has been accused of burying first wife Ivana at his New Jersey golf club to take advantage of state cemetery tax exemptions.

Dartmouth sociology professor Brooke Harrington, who calls herself a tax scholar, was the first to tweet: “I was skeptical of the rumor that Trump buried his ex-wife in that sad little golf lot on his golf course in Bedminster, NJ just for tax breaks."

She concluded: 'So I checked the NJ tax code and people…it's a trifecta of tax avoidance. Property, income and sales tax, all eliminated.'

Ivana was buried in a plot near the entrance to the golf complex, following her funeral in Manhattan on July 20. The former Czech model was found dead in her home on July 14 after accidentally falling down the stairs. She was 73 years old.
