Ukraine has labelled Russia a "terrorist state" after moscow's UK embassy posted on Twitter that Ukrainian battalion soldiers Azov deserved a "humiliating death" by hanging on the ropes.
The embassy's post came after more than 50 Russian-held Ukrainian prisoners of war (POE) were killed, among them reportedly Azov soldiers.
They died in an attack on Olenivka prison in Russian-controlled eastern Ukraine. Ukraine and Russia blame each other for Friday's attack.
Twitter acknowledged that the post by the Russian embassy violated "the social media company's hate speech rules" - but added that it may be in the public interest to keep it accessible.
In addition to the Ukrainian government, many other Twitter users expressed anger at the Twitter post.
The Olenivka prison camp is controlled by the russian-backed self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).
