They had returned to Kosovo for vacation. However, two members of the Sopa family from the village of Janqiq in the municipality of Malisheva died in their hometown.

In the morning of July 29, this family was involved in a terrible traffic accident on the Pristina-Podujevo highway, where the car collided with a bus. In the car at the critical moment, there were a husband and wife aged 35 and 36, as well as their two children aged around 4 and 5, writes Nacionale.

The parents did not survive the accident and unfortunately died. Both children are being treated in the Emergency Clinic of KKUK in the early hours. According to doctors, their health condition is reported to be serious.

" We are monitoring their health condition. We have done all the tests. We are looking forward to repeating some. Their condition is stable at the moment, but serious. Both of them are still being treated at the Emergency Clinic ", said the director of the Emergency Clinic, Naser Syla.

Meanwhile, the dead bodies of the victims, aged 36 and 35, by order of the prosecutor, have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for autopsy.

It is also reported that the victims are from Malisheva, which was confirmed by the Mayor of the Municipality, Ekrem Kastrati.

Regarding the tragic case, the mayor of Podujeva Municipality, Shpejtim Bulliqi, also reacted, who said that they were shocked by this news and expressed his condolences to the families, friends and relatives of the victims. The spokeswoman of the Kosovo Police for the Prishtina region, Flora Ahmeti, also spoke about the accident.

She announced that the accident happened between a bus and a car, which had foreign license plates.

" At around 04:40 we received information that a traffic accident with fatal consequences occurred on the Pristina - Podujevë road. A moving car (with foreign license plates) and a bus were involved in this accident. As a result of the accident, four people suffered serious bodily injuries, two of them were unable to cope with their injuries and the same died ," said Ahmeti.

Ahmeti also announced the age and initials of the persons who lost their lives and were injured by this accident.

"Ahmeti informed that the victims are a 35-year-old woman with the initials MS and a 36-year-old man with the initials Sh.S., while two children were injured," said Ahmeti.

Local media have revealed the identity and published the photo of one of the people who died in the tragic accident that happened today between a car and a bus in Podujevë.
