A terrible event has been made public recently as the police in Brazil managed to save the mother along with her two children, who were kept locked in a shack for 17 years.

The police discovered the case, while handcuffing the perpetrator Luiz Antonio Santos Silva, who is accused of keeping his wife and two children aged 19 and 22 in inhumane conditions, for most of the time tied up.

They were found in a serious state of health as a result of dehydration. Police intervened after information in a suburban area west of Rio de Janeiro, known for its extreme poverty.

In a statement, the police said that the three people were found tied up and very hungry. Police handcuffed Luiz Antonio Santos Silva, who was known as a DJ and often played loud music, which he allegedly did to drown out the screams of the 3 people he held hostage for 17 years.
