Two Muslims cut off the head of a tailor in India for insulting the Prophet

A tailor named Kanhaiya Lal was killed in Rajasthan, India, on Tuesday by two Muslim men, who recorded the action and posted it online. The killing has sparked religious tensions in the region.

The killers claimed that their action was revenge for the support that the tailor had expressed for the contradictory statements of an Indian politician about the Prophet Muhammad.

The government has blocked internet service and banned large gatherings. Police have arrested the two men, who identified themselves in the video with serious footage.

In another video, they boasted of assassination and also threatened Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi by displaying large knives.

A senior police official in Rajasthan has asked the media not to publish the video of the murder due to the very serious footage. Regional Prime Minister Ashok Gehlot has called on people to stay calm. The federal government has asked the National Investigation Agency to investigate the case.

The assailants entered the tailor's shop posing as customers and attacked him while he was taking their measurements .
