Cristiano Ronaldo has won five Ballon d'Ors, broken records that are unlikely to be repeated and has become one of the biggest names in football history. But at the age of 41, the Portuguese is experiencing one of the strangest moments of his career. After clashing with national team coach Jorge Jesus, CR7 has been involved in another controversy, this time not about goals, but about a TV commentator's Botox.

It all started on British television, where journalist Piers Morgan, a well-known friend and supporter of Ronaldo, clashed with Simon Jordan, former chairman of Crystal Palace and sports commentator on talkSPORT.

Jordan criticized the footballer's behavior after his departure from the Portugal squad, while Morgan defended him. The debate escalated when Jordan accused the journalist of being too servile towards his famous friend.

But the story didn't end in the studio.

Morgan sent Ronaldo the video of the debate and the Portuguese's response was unexpected.

"Tell that blond guy to stop the Botox. He looks like an apple."

The message was made public by Morgan himself, causing laughter and reactions in the British sports media. The episode was also confirmed by talkSPORT, which reported on the ironic response to Simon Jordan.

Jordan did not leave the personal attack unanswered. He reacted with sarcasm, while repeating the criticism of Morgan for the unconditional support he, according to him, gives to Ronaldo.

But behind this exchange of jokes lies a much more serious story: Cristiano Ronaldo's increasingly tense relationship with the Portuguese national team.

The striker was left out of the squad after coach Jorge Jesus left him on the bench during the match against Norway and then announced that he would not be a starter against Denmark either.

In a lengthy public statement on October 6, Ronaldo accused the coach of breaking promises twice. According to him, Jesus had guaranteed him 30 minutes of play against Norway, but did not activate him, even though he was eager to get on the field.

Then, according to Ronaldo, the coach did not even honor the agreement to publicly clarify the situation.

Ronaldo has apologised for leaving the squad and said he remains willing to represent Portugal, even if he faces disciplinary action. Jorge Jesus, on the other hand, has denied the existence of the deal claimed by the player.

The coach has left open the possibility of Ronaldo's return to the national team, emphasizing that the decision lies with the player himself.

This means that, despite the dramatic headlines about the end of CR7's career, his final departure from the national team has not been confirmed.

However, the episode with Simon Jordan has brought back a question that has been accompanying the last years of the Portuguese's career: how difficult is it for a legend to accept that he is no longer untouchable?
